Professional Profile
I trained at the Royal Free Hospital Medical School, University of London, graduating in 1993 and completed general obstetric and gynaecology training in London. I then completed additional training in gynaeoncology in Birmingham and hold subspecialist certification in gynaecological oncology from the RCOG in the UK and also have been awarded the European Board and College Accreditation in Gynaecological Oncology.
I have a particular interest in vulval disease. I have published and lecture on vulval pain, vulval skin conditions and cancer and my research degree was in vulval disease. I am an accredited colposcopist with the BSCCP and the Lead Colposcopist at National Women’s Health at Auckland City Hospital. I spent a year in New Zealand as a senior registrar and enjoyed it so much, that I came back 2 years ago to become one of the 3 gynaecological oncologists at National Women’s Health at Auckland City Hospital.
Moving to NZ has allowed my husband and I to indulge our love of the outdoors, finally have a dog and to develop new skills on our small lifestyle block.
